Annual Old Town Promenade
"The Roots and Trees of Tustin,"

The Upstairs Promenade
(A Red Carpet Event)
In partnership with the Tustin Area Historical Society we will
be hosting in our hall upstairs from the museum an extension
of their annual Old Town Promenade.
Along with a video we will be featuring a KOP presentation
covering our history in Tustin (since 1882), the history of
our building, and our organization and goals.
Video Presentations:
1) The Tustin Hangars: Titans of History - (25 min)
Video documentary on the Lighter-Than-Air Hangarsat the
former Marine Corps Air Station in Tustin.
2) California's Gold, Old Town Tustin - Huell Howser (25 min)
Tustin is famous for it's WWII blimp hangers, but this vibrant
community has lots of history and some real hidden gems.
Huell spends the day exploring Tustin and starts off at the
Tustin Museum for a little history lesson. He visits an honest
to goodness blacksmith and stops into the Wooden Indianfor a
haircut. We'll see some wonderful old architecture and
even grab some lunch at wonderful BBQ joint.
3) Knights of Pythias /KOP (16:21 min)
This movie describes our organization and highlights some
of our activities and charitable endeavors.

2. Various vintage photos.
3. Tustin area historical books (on sales in the Museum)
On Display: Poster Contest:
The Supreme Lodge Knights of Pythias sponsors an annual
High School Poster / Visual Arts contest. It is open to any
student enrolled as a Freshman (Grade 9), Sophomore (Grade 10),
Junior (Grade 11), or Senior (Grade 12) in any Junior or
senior High or Parochial School in the United States and Canada.
